Albany, NY - Sam Fein is honored to receive the endorsement of the Working Families Party. Aligning with the party, Sam Fein is running for City Auditor with a focus on creating a transparent and accountable city government, and bringing his independent leadership to ensure all levels of city government are held accountable without favor or influence.

Sam Fein’s career is defined by a desire to make local government a force for positive change—one that lifts communities up and creates opportunities. Since 2016, Sam has served as an Albany County Legislator, working tirelessly to break down systemic barriers and deliver results. He has led efforts to address housing affordability, build safer neighborhoods, and expand opportunities for all residents.
Candidates endorsed by the Working Families Party go through a process to show their track record and commitment to helping the hard-working people of their communities. Sam’s breadth of experience—spanning city, county, and state government—uniquely positions him to make the City Auditor’s office a powerful force for progress, ensuring city government delivers the real results for all residents. As an Analyst in Albany’s Office of Audit and Control, Sam developed a deep understanding of city operations and the critical role audits play in evaluating and improving how city government operates. His service as an Albany County Legislator, work as Policy Director in the New York State Senate, and Master of Public Administration from Rockefeller College has deepened his experience in navigating systems of government, conducting fiscal analysis, and developing evidence-based solutions.
